Partner of choice SCOTT Sports is going to be bike sponsor for the Challenge Germany
Teaser für News

At the beginning of the new triathlon season TEAMCHALLENGE announces another forward-looking partnership. SCOTT Sports, one of the leading brands in world-wide bike sports, is going to be the exclusive bike sponsor for the Challenge Germany with its two competitions in Roth and Kraichgau for the next three years.

The company has its headquarters in Givisez/Switzerland, and was founded in 1958. Since then, it has developed top-class sports products, while the company initially specialized in skiing: Ed Scott, former ski racer from Sun Valley/Idaho, had developed the first aluminum ski poles, and the company had soon become one of the technological leaders in the skiing market. The development of new carbon technologies and their use in the production of mountain bikes and race bikes enabled SCOTT to revolutionize cycling and to become one of the world-wide market leaders. SCOTT has been using carbon for more than ten years now, and has thus set standards as regards light-weight materials, wear-resistance and dynamics. In 2006, SCOTT launched the “Plasma” bike, the world’s lightest triathlon bike, and was presented with the Ispo Award in the triathlon category. Top triathletes such as Sebastian Kienle, who is the darling of the spectators in Roth, or Sonja Tajsich have been reaching extraordinary results on SCOTT bikes.

With the new sponsorship, SCOTT and the Challenge World Series have made an important step into future. Florian Brugger, SCOTT’s marketing manager and responsible for the triathlon and bike section of the company, states the following reasons for the sponsorship: “We want to be close to the athletes – no matter whether they are enthusiastic age groupers or the best pros world-wide. So we can get their direct feedback and develop the right products. And it is our company’s view that the Challenge Series is the biggest and most important location where triathlon fans from all over the world come together.”

To trigger the new partnership, Brugger announces attractive special actions and raffles for all participants and fans of the Challenge quality brand. For example, SCOTT is going to raffle the first two of four top-quality bikes among the Challengers shortly (one in Roth, and one in Kraichgau). You have the chance to win the SCOTT CX Comp featuring a super light-weight aluminum frame and SCOTT carbon fork. TEAMCHALLENGE is going to publish details on the raffle within the next few days on the homepages www.challenge-roth.de and www.challenge-kraichgau.de. In addition, there will be side events such as training camps and guided training sessions on the Challenge Roth and Challenge Kraichgau race courses, in which athletes can test the SCOTT bikes together with the pros.

Felix Walchshöfer, organizer of the world-wide Challenge Series, who will give the starting signal for the new race season at the Challenge Wanaka (New Zealand) on January 21, is looking forward to three successful years with SCOTT. “SCOTT produces the best triathlon bikes world-wide, so the company has always been our preferred sponsoring partner for the Roth and Kraichgau bike courses. We can only learn from the best, and that’s what SCOTT thinks as well. We will keep on growing together, always focusing on the athletes”.
