Map
TEAMChallenge and the Roth Tourist Information are going to publish a map which will make orientation very easy for athletes and visitors. Actually the map was intended for athletes who would like to get to know the race course, but it also includes the hot spots for spectators and directions how to get there. If you are interested, just ask for the map.

Nations
Of course there is a reason why the Challenge is referred to as international triathlon festival. In 2008 around 40 % of the participants came from abroad (from 51 different nations).
Nightrun
Takes place on Thursday evening before the race. The course leads from the Hilpoltstein market place to Wallersbach, Eckersmühlen, Hofstetten and Belmbrach and ends at the Roth Triahtlon Park at the festival ground. The distance is 12.4 km. If this seems too long for you, you may also join the other runners at Eckersmühlen and run the last 5.9 km to the finish-line in Roth. If parents want to take part in the Nightrun together with their children, they can run the last 1.5 km from the school parking lot. The Nightrun is just for fun, times will not be measured. At the finish-line, participants will be provided with drinks and energy bars. There are signs along the race course.

Nearby Nuremberg is really worth a trip, not only in winter for the famous “Christkindlesmarkt” (Christmas market). By car or train it’s only a 30-minute ride from Roth to Nuremberg. Furthermore, the numerous hotels in and around Nuremberg provide accommodation during the Challenge Roth.
